Press Statement won all three races as a juvenile, highlighted by an elite level win in the JJ Atkins (1600m) in Brisbane.

Press Statement’s spring campaign was highlighted by his victory in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m) and he also won the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m).

Press Statement began his autumn preparation with a win in the Group 2 2016 Hobartville Stakes before Group 1 placings in both the 2016 Randwick Guineas and 2016 George Ryder Stakes.

Press Statement was a beaten favourite when fifth in last Saturday’s 2016 All Aged Stakes.

The decision to retire Press Statement rules out a planned trip for the colt to the 2016 Royal Ascot carnival in England.

Press Statement retires with six wins from 11 career starts and over $1.8million in prize money.
