Australia has yet again shown itself to be one of world racings superpowers with the release of the latest “Longines World’s Best Racehorse” ratings overnight in Europe.

Topping the world chart is champion mare Winx whose rating of 126 was recorded when carrying the big weight to easily win the Doncaster @ Royal Randwick.

She shares top billing with California Chrome who recorded that same 126 rating when romping in the Dubai World Cup, the world’s richest race, by 3.5L.

Chauataqua’s TJ SMITH win on Day 1 of Sydney’s “Championships” saw him returning a winning rating of 121, putting him tied for 4th on the charts.

Buffering’s brilliant Al Quoz Sprint win last month in Dubai saw him rate a career best 118, good enough to fill 14th spot on the list.

Also in a tie for 14th was another Chris Waller trained horse, Kermadec, whose second in the George Ryder behind Winx saw him rate 118 also.
