A winner from last Saturday’s meeting at Moonee Valley is among four late entries for the Group I Melbourne Cup (3200m) at Flemington.

Chance To Dance, prepared by Robert Hickmott at Mt Macedon, defeated stablemate The United States in a mile handicap at Moonee Valley over the weekend which prompted a late nomination on Tuesday for Australia’s richest race.

Chance To Dance joins several horses in the famous Lloyd Williams silks nominated for this year’s Melbourne Cup. The likes of Amralah, Observational and Divan form part of Williams’ assault on a possible fifth success in the race.
French Group III winner Loresho has also been added to the nominations by trainer Jean-Claude Rouget.
OTI Racing pair Renew and Ruscello are the remaining two late entries, both of which are prepared by Ballarat trainer Archie Alexander.
