BEST OF THE DAY: Race 7 – 13 I’M BELUCCI

Race 3 – 7 MARKSFIELD: Matt Kropp Toowoomba galloper, was a very good run @ Doomben 29/8/15. Chariot of Gold led, dictated and won race. Highly fancied stablemate to winner was Beckham…It is very smart, as shown by previous form and the wrap on it from stable. But it had exact same run as Marksfield and only nosed it out on line (only difference being a 2kg claim on Marksfield). If Beckham is as smart as they say, then Marksfield is OK as well and has some nice wins to come soon.

Race 4 – 10 MORE FOR ME: Bombed start, circled widest and flew home. All & sundry would have seen the run, so steer clear next time when it’ll undoubtedly start under the odds….Stick with it beyond that though…Pretty handy for a galloper still eligible for Class 1.

Race 5 – 1 HARADA BAY: 29/08/15 — Class 6 LIM 54…1600m – Doomben – Good 3 — The leaders dictated the tempo in-front, PUNTA NORTE was heavily backed was unchallenged, led and dictated to win and win easily. HARADA BAY was forced back to last from the bad alley, took off before the bend out very deep to make ground, but really hit the line well once he balanced up in the home straight. Can win very soon when he draws well / in the right grade/race.

Race 6 – 4 DIDNTCOSTALOT: Got everything his own way when winning 1110m Open Handicap 29/8/15 Doomben, leading all the way as is his pattern. Will cop a weight penalty but I think he can string a few wins together on end now, correctly placed. Might even be able to pinch a race down south during the Spring around the listed / gr3 level, given right conditions.  He’s twice been placed in Listed races, he’s run Bel Sprinter to 2.5L in a Gr2 and run Buffering to 3.5L in a Gr1, so he’s pretty handy on his day between the 1000m & 1100m range.

Race 7 – 13 I’M BELUCCI*****: RUN OF THE DAY – Doomben 29/09/15. 3yo H’Çap, 1200m.
Slowly away, looked 1/2 by design…1/2 as it unfolded….Completely out sped early. Had to take off before the corner to start making ground, once it balanced up in straight and hit top gear it ate up ground late in a terrific show of sprint. Debuted over 1110m here and did same, 1200m today, but clearly still needs further. Follow this Captain Sonador colt everywhere he goes, once he gets out over more ground he’ll win plenty of races or even to the Sunshine Coast which has the big straight.
