We’ll have to wait until the lucky last at Ipswich tomorrow for the best bet of the day, but I’m surpremely confident that wait will prove fruitful for us punters.
The horse I’m super keen on is Race 8 – 6 FAICONI trained by Chrissy Munce. Currently at $3.40, that’s worth hitting straight out!
FAICONI comes back to the Ipswich circuit, where he’s won twice with another an additional 2 places from half a dozen goes — dropping sharply in grade.
10 days ago she was a terrific 4th in a fillies & mares BM 85 at Doomben behind Lucky News, beaten just 2.7L after settling back in 8th in the 9 horse affair in a race that was run well below average tempo. The first 3 past the post we all up on speed but FAICONI managed to run the fastest last 600m split in the event & clearly clocked the fastest final furlong in the race, being the only runner to break 12 seconds for the final furlong. That was against the tempo of the race.
This race is a fillies & mares midweek BM 70, a sizeable drop.
2 back at Ipswich the horse won in filly & mares class 1 grade over today’s track, distance & track condition.
She’s drawn well with B.Stewart onboard to settle handy to them and despite the sharpe drop in grade is only 3kg over the minimum.
The horses overall race record is unflattering with just 2 wins from 16 starts, and another 6 minors. The horse however has improved very sharply since joining the Munce stable 4 runs back from the Meagher’s and looks on a steep upward spiral that should continue here and see her sprinting home over the top of them.
IT’LL BE A LONG WAIT BUT ILL BE BACKING IT HEAVILY PERSONALLY AS I THINK IT’S WORTH EVERY SECOND OF THE WAIT & WE’LL GO HOME WINNERS!!
